ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN

Majority of children accessing care at HELP- Uganda are vulnerable having either lost at least one parent or both, living in child headed households, living with elderly caretakers, living in poverty stricken households, disabled and some of them abused! These children and their siblings are always marginalized and therefore interventions to ensure they live with dignity are critical. The OVC program aims at promoting the wellbeing of these OVC by trying to address their holistic needs through providing support such as emergency food rations, education, psychosocial support, child protection and economic strengthening.
